Ketambe Trekking is a small family owned company founded in Ketambe village in 2016. The founders are Satudin&Gandi. Satudin&Gandi work as Forest Guides and Rangers in the Gunung Leuser National Park tasked with carrying out routine patrols to maintain forest conditions and detect illegal activities. preventing wildcat hunting, deforestation and illegal fishing. Arrest and report law violators. carry out replanting programs to restore damaged forest areas. Collect data about wildlife and their habitats. managing visitors and natural tourism activities. Providing advice to communities on how to control erosion, helping communities resolve conflicts between humans and wildlife. Participate in forest fire management. Satudin&Gandi has formed a team consisting of selected local guides and team members who follow the same environmentally conscious mission, all of whom have the same love for nature conservation efforts, protecting and saving animals in the Gunung Leuser National Park. All members of the Ketambe Trekking family are local residents of Ketambe Village, Southeast Aceh. Our English speaking guides have many years of experience and extensive knowledge about orangutans, the flora and fauna of the ketambe forest. each of our guides is passionate about the job of guiding and happy to share their knowledge with our guests in the jungle. All our guides join the HPI Aceh Tenggara (HPI-Indonesian Tourist Guide Association of Southeast Aceh). We all feel like extended family and friends, happy to welcome you to our family.
