To get to North Sumatra and Ketambe you have to book a flight to Medan (KNO – Kualanamu International Airport). Ketambe is located in Southeast Aceh, about 7-8 hours from Medan City/from Kualanamu airport (depending on traffic). The best airports to get to North Sumatra are Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta. There are 2 transportation options according to your budget, time & comfort: Private taxi and public taxi.
Private Car: We will be happy to arrange a drop off service from the airport directly to your accommodation in Ketambe. This is the easiest way, as you will have a private air-conditioned car and a private driver, who can stop wherever you need him (for example for lunch or dinner on the way).
